Hi...Liesl's (nee Usta) owners checking in... She turned 3 on March 15 and has developed wonderfully. we are constantly stopped by strangers commenting on her unique and good looks. At 3, many people mistake her for a puppy. She is quick and agile in the park and particularly the forested area. She is well socialized and a favourite of the dog walkers. At home, she is quiet, calm and aloof. Sometimes, she lets her nose get the better of her and is a bit naughty. We absolutely adore her. Thanks from the Himels of Toronto!

Hello Monica,

Ann here, from DIC.   Our girl, Kessy, is almost 7 years old now.   I wanted to let you know that she has been the absolute lovliest dog I have ever known.   She is a perfect family dog for us and is keeping us fit and healthy!   I've started to think about adding another dog to our household and it will definately be another Munsterlander.   Many thanks to you and your Dad.   Ann

Hi it's Logan I just want to say that I love my dog that I got 4 years ago she is perfect. I just wanted to check the website to see what was new. After having such a good experience with Sadie and looking at old pictures and pictures on the website I really want another puppy. I think it would be good for Sadie to have some company but I don't know if my parents want another dog it would be hard to convince them but we'll see!!! BYE,

  Logan

Saw your post about the passing of your Springer.   That is exactly what happened to us. Our Springer, Plato last a little over 14 years and was a truly wonderful dog.   We waited about 6 weeks before we added two Munsterlanders (Tanner and Sadie) who are now about 3 1/2 year old. You know how active Springers are?....this breed is even more active.

Musterlanders are very intelligent and high energy dogs.   They have a little of the devil in them (really because of how smart they are) but good tough love and tons of exercise make life with them fun. Pound for pound, these are the strongest dogs I have ever had and on the trail, they are incredible.   We are not a hunting family so long frequent walks are needed and provided and this is needed to make them good family dogs. And hiking on trails is a passion for our family so it is a perfect match.

Hi,   Sorry to hear about Josef, we had got a pup from him back in 2005 and she is the best dog I could ever ask for.   I notice you have adults for adoption.   I'd like some more info if possible.   Thank You

PS.   We call our SMP 'Pooter Pootz', I remember Josef walking into the puppy pen and calling out 'pootz pootz pootz'   all the pups ran to his feet, it was simply adorable. The name just stuck and she loves it!!!

These are wonderful dogs. We met a woman walking her new dog (about 5 months old) in Cabbagetown. We spent time talking with her about the dog and the breed and she gave us your name and web site.   I will contact you about future litters and reserving a pup. I very enjoyed viewing your website and appreciate your philosophy about breeding dogs.   Sincerely,   John McCluskey

Hi there, I am so glad we found you.   We have one of your Father/grandfathers dogs!   We bought it from him in June... just before he passed I guess.   SO, SO sorry to hear that.
The dogs original name from was Merlin...as Joseph would name them by letters in the alphabit... that batch was M, I guess.   His mother is "Ika"(sp?)   can't remember the studs name.   Anyways, if you would like pictures, send me an email at cgoud13@gmail.com

Hi their this is Ann

what would the cost of a small munsterlander be, besides the deposit of $200.00 and where are you located.

Mar 19 2008 06:52 pm
Hello,

My wife and I are very impressed with your web sight. We have been researching breeds for our 3rd dog and have settled on the kleine munsterlander.   I know that your downpayment is $200.00.   Is this in American or Canadian $?   Also, what would be the total cost of a puppy? Is there an application form to fill out?

Our email:   gcampeau21@verizon.net

Thank you and Happy Easter!

I found your new site.     Also a member of your Yahaoo Group http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/canadianmunsterlander

Bender (Urlich) is now 1 1/2 years old (birthdate March 15, 2006).   He's just about all brown as the white patches changed completely at about 9-10 months of age.   He's friendly and loving and well behaved.   Thanks again.

Last Wednesday it was our Munsterlanders first birthday so I decided to have a Dog Party for him.

We had 6 dogs show up with presents and treats for our little man - and we even had special Pup Cakes made for the dogs. (cupcakes made for dogs with peanut butter icing and milk bones on top)

Wade is the best thing that could have ever happened to us.   We love him so much.

Hope you are all doing well.
Talk to you soon,

Stacey, Stace, and Wade

Hi Monica,
Glad to find your site. Our youngest Munsterlander,Penny, turns 2 tomorrow and our first,Sammi, is 4, . We love these dogs and they supply us with endless exercise, laughter and love. (vet bills, hair and the occassional dead squirrell) I'd love to adopt several more but I think my husband and the cats would protest! Cheers.

Hi Monica,

I just wanted to tell you that we have the best little girl in the world.   Her name is Hailey.   She was born May 28, 2005.   I believe she was from your Dad's last litter.   We were so sorry about your Dad's passing.   He was a very nice man. I think your Dad would have liked our Hailey a lot.   She would have made a great hunting dog.   Now her hunting is done in the forest near our house. She chases squirrels all day long.   We would love to bring her up to show you in the spring.

Monica, the next time my wife emails you, would you please tell her to let me start sleeping in the bed again.   The dog has taken my spot and I don't think this is very fair.

Sincerely, Mike Brisson.

P.S. love the site.

Hi Monica LOVE the new website.   I see you have new puppies - they are too cute.

About 8 months ago my boyfriend and I brougt home our first Small Munsterlander puppy.   His name was Wade but he actually goes by "Bubba" we LOVE him so much.   Wade is a joy to have and he has brought us so much happiness.   2 weeks after we had him we took him on a camping trip to Parry Sound Ontario.   He slept in his own tent and met about 50 dogs including a Malamute (who was his favorite friend).   Wade loves our cat Ani and all his neighbourhood dog pals.   He is kind, caring, sorry for the bad things he does (if he does any at all), he is smart as a fox, super fast and can jump like a horse!

We are so glad that we finally found a dog that is exactly what we were looking for and more.   We were also lucky to be able to have access to a breeder (Monica) who was only about 2 hours away from us.   If anyone wanted to contact me our email is thestaces@hotmail.com, we were looking to find out where Wade's brothers and sisters went to (end of June 2006 puppies).

We hope you and your family are doing well Monica, we will have to make a visit in the Spring.

Regards,

Stacey, Stace, and Wade

Merry Christmas from Newfoundland! We were so sorry to hear about your dad's passing.   We bought Mira (now called Sadie) from him last June 2005. She was exactly what we had asked for.   She was certainly a handful the first year but has settled nicely in our home. She is totally devoted to me (age 9) and my sister (age 6). She loves to run in the woods and to swim whenever possible.   We are so lucky to have her and love her very much.   I spend alot of time learning about dogs on the Internet and love your new website.

Glad to see the new website.   We have now had our two munsterlanders (we got them Oct 30,2005 from you )and they are really settling in great. These are very high energy dogs as promised and we are diligently spending 2 to 2 1/2 hours a day giving them walks and runs. Two dogs are a lot to handle but they are such great buddies and companions that it has proven to be the right decision.   I would love to share some pictures because they really are wonderul looking beasts.   :-)

Hi Monica,
First let me send our condolences on the passing of your dad. I was quite sad to read that.
We bought our Luna from him 4 1/2 years ago and had brought her up to see him once or twice after that.
Luna is a marvelous dog. She is loyal, fun and very affectionate. She has never shown any aggression towards us, others or even other animals - except squirrels! She can't stand them :)
I happened upon your website through the 2007 Dog annual and thought I'd check it out. Saw "Xia" and since then, I have got the itch for another pup and playmate for Luna. To my dismay he is gone, but that's ok. If in the spring time there are more munsterlanders, could we check in with you then? We are specifically looking for a male and would prefer the darker colour (Luna is white with a brown head).
Should something come up, please let me know at lwobito@canada.com
Sincerely,
Liane Wobito
