The Health Guarantee
                          Von Der Beller Burg

                          Health Guarantee

Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good health upon leaving Von Der Beller Burg.

The buyer agrees to have a licensed Veterinarian confirm the good health of the dog, within 72 hours of leaving the breeders premises.
If a Veterinarian certifies the dog not to be in good health during that time period, the buyer has the right to return the dog to the breeder within 24 hours of the examination
and receive a full refund of the sale price, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
A refund will be made to the buyer after the breeder receives the dog, all paperwork, and written Veterinary certification.
Because we cannot be responsible for any possible exposure to disease or neglect after the puppy leaves our care, the buyer forfeits their return/refund if the above time schedule is not adhered to.
All Veterinarian fees, medication, travel and shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer.

We have researched the backgrounds of all our breeding dogs, with several generations of healthy animals, to protect against any genetic problems in the litters they produce.
As such your puppy is fully guaranteed against any life threatening genetic defects until its first birthday. If such a problem is found, you will receive an   exchange
for another puppy within 6 months.
A written statement from a licensed Veterinarian must be provided and the breeder has the option to have the condition verified by their own vet.   If a puppy were to ever die from a suspected genetic defect before its first birthday, an autopsy would have to be performed at the buyer’s expense and the cause of death verified by a licensed Veterinarian before a refund or replacement puppy could be provided.

The buyer agrees to provide proper shelter, nutrition, veterinary care and grooming for this dog.   Upon taking physical possession of the dog, you are agreeing to be responsible for all costs and expenses related to this dog.   The breeder is not responsible for any costs relating to your dog, other than what has been stated in this agreement. The buyer further agrees that this puppy is being sold to them as a companion animal and therefore carries no warranty for conformation faults or non-life threatening genetic anomalies.   Additionally no guarantee is made to disposition, conformation size, hunting, retrieving to breeding capability.

HIPS

Your puppy is also guaranteed against bilateral hip dysphasia resulting from genetic causes until its second birthday.   This guarantee covers any genetically precipitated problem which causes moderate to severe bilateral hip dysphasia, preventing normal daily activity and disqualifying the dog from OFA Certification.
There are environmental factors which can contribute to hip and joint problems in larger dogs.   Therefore the following conditions must be met for this guarantee to be honoured:

*The puppy must be fed only a premium food"medium breed puppy food"until one year of age.   After which it may be changed to a premium adult food.
*The puppy must not have been overfed to the point of obesity.   It has been directly linked to hip dysplasia and therefore a puppy that has been allowed to become
overweight will not be covered by this guarantee.
*The puppy must not be allowed to play excessively with adult dogs, jump down stairs or run or behind any motorized vehicles.   Permitting a puppy to strain their joints and ligaments by participating in these activities before the growth plates have fully formed at 12 to 18 months of age can cause environmental hip and joint problems.

For this guarantee to be honoured the buyer must provide to the seller a copy of the OFA evaluated x-rays and their findings. The guarantee will be honoured once we have confirmed that a genetic problem does exist.
If the problem is severe enough to warrant euthanasia, you will receive either a full refund of the purchase price or a replacement puppy.   If the condition does not warrant euthanasia, you will not be asked to return the puppy but will instead receive a refund of a minimum of 50% of the purchase price of your pup.

LIFETIME RETURN POLICY

It goes without saying that we care very deeply about each puppy.   Our concerns for them goes beyond the time that they leave with their new families and we will continue to love them for there lifetime.
We stand behind the health of each puppy and make every effort to match our puppies with appropriate owners in hopes that the match will last a lifetime.

Occasionally, unforeseen things happen in peoples lives which may or may not allow them to keep their puppy.   In the event that this happens the breeder will be happy to take the dog back into their home and or locate a new home.
Under no circumstances can this dog be given away, euthanized or sold without the breeder having first option to take the dog back.

SPAYING AND NEUTERING

Your puppy was purchased as a pet and under no circumstance be used for breeding.
Puppy`s are spayed or neutered between the ages of   6 to 8 months of age.
